PINZADO:
El pinzado debe realizarse con los nuevos brotes reduciéndolos a 2-4 hojas durante la época de crecimiento con el fin de equilibrar su vigor.
Si a la vez que cortamos la rama, la defoliamos, conseguiremos brotes desde el interior y así renovaremos las ramas.
El pinzado de brotes maduros se realiza de julio a septiembre, cortando los brotes demasiado largos cuando las hojas ya estén hechas.
Desde abril hasta agosto el olivo resiste las podas fuertes y brota con mucha facilidad.
Nunca podaremos o desfoliaremos ramas tiernas pues al no haber subido la glucosa no tendríamos resultados y los nuevos brotes serían débiles.
