Tough job. A lot of original soil and long circling roots. Tried to take out the maximum of soil and almost bare rooted. Very few mikhorizza, Teee was strugling with too much water. Damaged a lot of roots forcing it into smaler pot and inserting new soil. Will suffer to come back. Unfortunately I could not tie it into the right angle, so careful when styling. I think thia will be a year to develop roots in the bonsai soil and keep it easy. Followed mauro stemberger advice for soil mix. Took old pumice and lava mix and added 5% zeolite for the bottom 3rd. Then put biochar, danu and mikkhorizza into it. Middle laydr middle sized 80% hiuga pumice, 15% akadama and 5% zeolite. Top layer fine grains same with top layer of fine akadama.

After thinkibg between shakan slanting and chokkan I decided to go for informal upright with very subtle bends. Took off almost half of needles. Wired the top straight and bent branches down and in classic fashion. Kept two lower branches for sacrifice or triple trunk.

Alle mit schwarzen Flecken oder braune Nadeln entfernt. Ca. 50% der Nadeln abgepflückt und entsorgt. Vermeideb, dass neue Nadeln mit needlecast infiziert werden. Werde mit Kupfer sprühen.

Aphids. Treated with soap insecticide. Blue colour disappeared. Do not treat pines with soap. Takes of a resin wich is a defence of tje tree.

Gekauft bei Schilliger. Grafting nur später gesehen. War in Blumenerde. Viele tote Wurzeln, die im Kreis wuchsen. Dringend umgetopft. Nadeln waren schön. Trunk diametre of graft 6 cm, trunk diametre over graft 3.5 cm. Blumentof 40 cm Diameter und 15 cm höhe.
