Repotting juniper until june. Dont remove whole rootball. First top, thank bottom and the sides. Soil mix 60% akadama, 30% pumice, and 10% charcoal. Like alkaline soil. Hold moisture. Put in dolomitic lime (calcium and magnesium) and endomikkorizza. Ph 7. Slow release fertilizer. Corase on bottom and fine on top. David easterbrook.

Styled Itoigawa with Luca. Not 100% convinced, since he says I have to bury the base due to inverse taper. He butchered my tree. Started working by making shari, too fast to be good. Then proposed a shohin, which would waste the big curves. In the end he cut of too much. Will be hard to recover.

Many brown dead foliage underneath the top, young foliage, signs of stress. Maybe was over or underwatered. Checked the soil was totally compacted and roots mostly dead. Therefore I did an emergency repotting into bigger pot (tie pot gross) and teased the roots slightly. Soil kyriu and akadama. Will pick up again and proper repotting next spring.
