The Chokkan style in bonsai is characterized by a straight, vertical, and conical trunk. This trunk rises directly from the base of the bonsai without significant curvature or twisting. The branches are symmetrically distributed along the main trunk, with a tiered arrangement, each tier being slightly higher than the one before.
