The Bunjingi style
Literati style

The Bunjingi style, also known as literati bonsai, is an artistic and unconventional style in bonsai. It is characterized by a sinuous and twisting trunk that evokes the image of a tree that has grown in difficult conditions and survived the elements. The trunk may have unique curves and twists, giving the tree a very distinctive appearance.

The branches of the Bunjingi bonsai are often irregular, creating a disordered and natural look. They may be inclined in different directions, contributing to the artistic aspect of the tree. The leaves or needles are generally small and may be unevenly arranged along the branches.

This style may also involve exposing some roots, which adds to the wild and artistic aspect of the Bunjingi bonsai. The overall appearance of the tree evokes a sense of ruggedness and mystery.
