Prunus 'Kanzan' (Prunus serrulata 'Kanzan'. syn. Prunus lannesiana 'Kanzan', Cerasus Sato-zakura Group 'Sekiyama' Koidz, Kwanzan or Sekiyama, Japanese).

A small, ornamental deciduous tree known for its spectacular spring blossoms, which range from white to pink and can be single or double-flowered. Native to Japan, Korea, and China, it's famous for its role in Japanese culture (Sakura) and the Washington D.C. cherry blossoms, symbolizing beauty and the transient nature of life. These trees prefer full sun and well-drained soil, have smooth brown bark, and their leaves turn yellow, red, or crimson in the fall.
