Los prunus como el almendro, cerezo, ciruelo, etc. y como casi todos los frutales, cuidaremos la floración, y para ello nos fijaremos en los brotes de flor que son redondeados y más grandes que los de las hojas; estos brotaran los primeros, después de la floración crecerán las nuevas ramas desde los brotes de hoja.
Las ramas pinzadas posiblemente tengan más flor que aquellas que se podan con tijeras.
