The leaves or needles are small and slender, contributing to the elegant appearance of the Chokkan. This style aims to create an impression of dignity, strength, and balance. The vertical trunk and symmetrical branches reinforce this aesthetic, giving the tree a majestic presence.

L’Acero Palmato o Acer Palmatum è una pianta da esterno originaria dell’Asia appartenente alla famiglia delle Aceraceae. La pianta ha un portamento elegante ed arboreo di ridotte dimensioni e presenta delle foglie caduche decorative, palmate con lobi in numero da 5 a 7, con bordi seghettati, di colore rosso intenso o vinaccia che appaiono dalla fine dell’inverno. La pianta si adatta anche ad ambienti interni e non necessita di grandi attenzioni ma richiede una esposizione in zone ombreggiate anche se potrebbe tollerare anche l’esposizione diretta del sole ma non per molto tempo. Non teme le basse temperature e necessita di un terreno neutro o acidulo e ben drenato; per quanto riguarda le innaffiature devono essere più frequenti solo in periodi e zone meno umide
