Stored at Kissling Bonsai with Olive and kaede on rocks. Last night cold weatjer arrived below zero and this night will be -4 . Costs at Kissling 15 chff base fee and 3.50 per three per month. Will keep on slightly over zero store. Will get it back in march.

Pruning branches and filling holes. Branches were very messy.
The first 4 branches were properly cleaned, while the rest not. All wholes filled. I cannot clean everything as it would set the tree back for a long time. Some branches pointing inwards are for approach grafting in summer. Maybe with the cuttings as well. Need another three branches on the tree. Third branch needs to come down. Some branches are very fragile with rotten parts inside. Need to let new growth rewigorate. Do not repot this spring. Choose branches and wire the apex. Very messy at the moment. Depending ho good the top is, the 1st branch can be taken off. Manage area around rough transition. Luca says let grow top and better conicity.

Workshop with Luca. Instead of root grafting I will be layering half of the nebary. Big cut, with root gel, paper toilet and fine cut sphagnum to build the nebary. Plus some cleaning of the branches and holes, guy wire for 1st branch.

Next season put it in a woodbox for 2 or three years to develop the nebary and ramification. And clore and repair wounds. Meanwhile make a kintsugi on the pot.

Bonsai came in poor maintenance. Repotting for security. Akadama 100%, not degraded. Roots fully grown underneath.
Mix: 50% middle grain akadama, 20% Kanuma, 15% jap pumice, 15% Kiryu. Mikhorizza added.
